SAD ex-minister’s son booked for illegal mining

GURDASPUR: The state Vigilance Department booked the son of a former SAD minister for illegal mining on a complaint by a loyalist of Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa.

Gurdaspur, April 21

The state Vigilance Department booked the son of a former SAD minister for illegal mining on a complaint by a loyalist of Rajya Sabha MP Partap Singh Bajwa.

The rivalry between Sewa Singh Sekhwan, who has remained a Cabinet minister in the Parkash Singh Badal government and the Bajwa family runs deep.

The case has been registered against Sekhwan’s son Jagroop Singh and his accomplice Kanwalpreet Singh Kakki. Both Jagroop and Kakki, however, denied their involvement. — TNS
