Scholarship scam under investigation

Jalandhar, November 19

Minister for Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Sadhu Singh Dharamsot today said all private players, including Akali ministers, who were involved in the embezzlement of post-matric scholarship scheme money during the Akali regime won’t be spared.

He said the government had ordered an audit into the scam which had taken place in the education sector and every defaulting college and school, which had usurped the scholarship money meant to be disbursed among Dalit students under the post-matric scholarship scheme would be acted against.
