Two shopkeepers have been arrested and released on bail for allegedly selling fake branded clothes in Fazilka.

Sources said the police raided two shops on the Gaushalla road and the Chaudhrian Street and impounded a large number of fake branded clothes being sold there.

The police recovered 186 pieces of various fake branded clothes from MS Chitta Collection, Gagushalla road, and 145 pieces from the shop of Kewal Krishan on the Chaudhrian Street. Most of the clothes are of Gant, Lacoste, wrangler and Numero Uno brands.

Kewal Krishan and Rajnish Kumar have been booked on the complaint of a company official under the Copyright Act 63 and 65. However, they were released on bail. — OC
