Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar said Assembly Speaker Rana KP Singh should take a lenient view of the ruckus created by the AAP and SAD on Thursday.

Jakhar said they wanted political discourse in the House. “The Congress intends to beat the opposition on logical instead of on technical grounds,” he said.

He said special sitting arrangements should be made for former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal as he could guide the opposition in a better way.

Jakhar said SAD chief Sukhbir Badal had failed to bear the burden of opposition.
