The state government has again extended the term of the judicial commission set up to inquire the Moga molestation case of last year by two months.

The state government had asked Justice VK Bali, retired Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, to probe the incident of April 29, 2015, wherein a teenaged girl and her mother were allegedly thrown out of a bus owned by the Badal family.

The girl died on the spot and her mother was seriously injured.

Justice Bali was to complete the inquiry within two months. However, the term of the commission has been extended time and again in the last eight months. On January 29, in a notification, the term of the commission was extended by two months on the request of Justice Bali.

As per the notification, the term has been extended as the complainant has not appeared before the commission and the suggestions of various stakeholders have not been received.
