Three vehicle thieves held

Phagwara, June 19

The police have busted an inter-district gang of vehicle thieves and arrested its three members identified as Gagandeep and Shivam of Daddal Mohalla and Kamaljit of New Satnampura. The police have recovered four stolen motorcycles from the accused who were nabbed near Subhash Nagar Chowk on Tuesday.

A case has been registered in this regard. All arrested were produced before the local judicial magistrate who sent them in police remand for a day. — OC

3 booked for fraud

Abohar: A case has been registered against Sultan Ram, his son Ashok Kumar and one Vinod Kumar of Chak 17ML village (Sriganganagar). Shergarh village resident Raj Kamal alleged that the trio executed an agreement for sale of 16 bighas of agricultural land that actually belonged to Hanuman Ram and Mani Pal. OC
