Abohar: Pawan Kumar Rinwa (20) of Bareka village and his brother-in-law Arun Kumar Neol (32) of Khatwan village near Abohar died and three relatives were injured as the car they were travelling in hit a tree on the Sangaria-Sadulshehar-Abohar road on Monday.

Abohar: Pawan Kumar Rinwa (20) of Bareka village and his brother-in-law Arun Kumar Neol (32) of Khatwan village near Abohar died and three relatives were injured as the car they were travelling in hit a tree on the Sangaria-Sadulshehar-Abohar road on Monday. They were returning from a wedding in Sangaria. Preliminary probe reportedly indicated that Pawan lost control over the car while trying to prevent collision with a stray bull. OC
 
Man arrested for faking attack
Sangrur: The police have arrested Kuldeep Singh of Maniana village for faking an attack on himself and lodging a false complaint. On November 23, 2017, Gabbar had alleged that unidentified persons had fired at him. With a bullet injury in his left leg, Gabbar was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh. Later, it came to light that Gabbar had an illegal pistol, which went off accidentally and hit him. TNS
 
Woman’s in-laws booked after protest
Sangrur: The police registered an abetment to suicide case against Karamjit Kaur’s in-laws after her father Malkiat Singh died on Monday. The cops took action after Malkiat’s family staged a protest. “We have booked Satnam Singh, elder brother of Karamjit’s husband; Satnam’s wife Kiranjot Kaur; Karamjit’s mother-in-law Lachho; and father-in-law Chand Singh,” Sunam DSP William Jeji said.
