Sangrur, February 19
The Zameen Prapti Sangharash Committee (ZPSC) today announced the launch of an agitation against the Punjab Government for trying to forcibly purchase the common land of Balad Kalan village for a proposed industrial hub in Sangrur district.
“We will not allow the government to take possession of the village common land as hundreds of Dalit families are doing agriculture over it. We have called a mahapanchayat on March 6 in Kheri village to announce our future course of action,” said Parmjit Kaur, a member of the committee.
