Muktsar, December 5

SAD president and Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal today said the party would announce his and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal’s seat after releasing the list all candidates.

He said the party was getting a survey done. He, however, did not reveal anything about the survey and said: “We will announce our seats in the last.”

On revolt by senior SAD leaders such Des Raj Dhugga who were denied the ticket, Sukhbir said: “We have seen the merit of leaders while allotting the ticket. Those who were not liked by public are rejected.”

He gave “zero out of 10” to PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh for his performance in a summit organised recently in Delhi.

‘No weapons in weddings’

Replying to a query regarding the murder of orchestra dancer in Bathinda on Saturday, Sukhbir said he had told DGP Suresh Arora to enforce the ban on carrying weapons in marriage palaces.

“Such incidents have happened once or twice earlier too. It is a serious matter. The police are trying their best to nab the culprits,” he added.
