Setting trends for children’s room

1 Soft colours: From the walls of the room to the crib and study table, there is a trend of light, soft, gender-neutral pastel colours. The minimalist approach is the new and cosy trend that smart children love to embrace and flaunt. Pastel pink, yellow and blue are the most preferred colours in the furnishing items. Experts believe that soft colours complement soft behaviour of the kids and develop a positive aura around them. 

2Complementary wallpapers: A combination of painted and papered wall is the more lively concept than the painted walls. The advantages of wallpapers are many; firstly, they look perfect for framed painting, trendy wall clocks and fixtures. Secondly, they can be changed very easily to suit a particular season unlike the monotonous painted walls. 

3 Statement furniture: Light, sporty, and natural are the three most effective adjectives that define the furniture of a kid’s room. Walnut wood is dominating the statement furniture for kids and soft colours like white, sand and peach are the coolest and snazzy. In the majority of cases, parents prefer convertible furniture due to the space constraints and safety is the foremost criterion that can never ever be neglected.

4Theme-based interior:  The current themes are like the adventures of Harry Potter, Aladin or Peter Pan to fairytale stories such as Snow White. Birds, flowers, and nature are some other cool themes for children’s rooms and nurseries. 

5 Multifunctional furniture: Multifunctional furniture includes the trend of lofts, in-built storage, use of wood accents in the kid’s room, etc. This aspect is more visible in furniture because parents don’t want to see a crowded room. Multifunctional furniture can be a study-cum-dining desk or a bed frame that includes built-in storage.
