Ankit’s family to get Rs 25 lakh as insurance cover

Deceased Bengal U-19 captain Ankit Keshri’s family will receive a compensation of Rs 25 lakh from the BCCI’s insurance company. CAB secretary Subir Ganguly said they have received intimation from the BCCI that the cheque issued by the insurance company will arrive in a couple of days. “The maximum claim for on-field death is Rs 25 lakh,” CAB joint secretary Subir Ganguly said.

Sandhu loses to top seed, Joshana enters semis

Harinderpal Singh was knocked out in the quarterfinals, while Joshana Chinappa sailed into the semifinals of the $15,000 NSCI Open Indian Squash Circuit.
