England have announced a 16-member unchanged squad for the five-Test series against India with fast bowler James Anderson set to miss the start of the tour after failing to recover from a shoulder injury. The squad is the same as the one currently touring Bangladesh. Anderson, who was forced to miss England’s ongoing series in Bangladesh, has already been ruled out of next month’s opening Test in Rajkot, starting on November 9. But the 34-year-old pacer, who has taken a record 473 Test wickets for England, could join the squad for the remaining four Test matches. The first Test at Rajkot will be followed by matches at Visakhapatnam, Mohali, Mumbai and Chennai. Players criticise Ronaldo’s selfishness: Reports
News reports on Wednesday said that some Real Madrid footballers have begun to publicly express their displeasure with superstar teammate Cristiano Ronaldo for his selfishness, ego and attitude. Mundo Deportivo reported, quoting various sources, that there are several Real Madrid players who are annoyed with the attitude and selfishness of the Portuguese, who was whistled at by the fans because of his performance in the last round of La Liga. Ronaldo got into a fight with James Rodriguez during training on October 17 and teammate Marcelo had to mediate between the Colombian and the Portuguese. Toni Kroos also showed his discomfort in the final minutes of La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao last Sunday, when Ronaldo would not pass the ball to either Morata or him.

ATK coach Molina suspended for one ISL match
Atletico de Kolkata head coach Jose Molina was today suspended for one match for repeatedly protesting against referee’s decisions in his side’s match against Mumbai City FC in Kolkata. Molina was sent off from the field by the match referee. “Coach Molina was sent off from the field of play and immediate surrounds by the match referee in the 90+1 minute of the game for repeatedly protesting against the referee’s decisions,” ISL said in a press statement.

Myneni, Prajnesh only Indians left in singles event
Third seed Saketh Myneni battled through shoulder pain to set up a quarterfinal clash against Prajnesh Gunneswaran, the only other Indian left in the singles event of the KPTI-MSLTA Challenger. Myneni, playing his last tournament of the season, overcame a troublesome right shoulder to beat young Sidharth Rawat 6-0 2-6 6-1, while eighth seed Prajnesh pipped compatriot Vijay Sundar Prashanth 6-4 6-2 in their second-round matches. — Agencies
