Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah today said he will come back stronger after recovering from the lower-back injury that has ruled him out of the Test series against South Africa. “Injuries are part & parcel of the sport. Thank you for all your recovery wishes. My head is held high & I am aiming for a comeback that’s stronger than the setback,” Bumrah wrote on Twitter.

Dravid to depose before BCCI ethics officer today
Former India captain Rahul Dravid will depose before BCCI Ethics Officer DK Jain on Thursday to explain the conflict of interest allegations against him. Dravid is currently the director of National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, besides being a vice-president in the India Cements group, which owns IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. The 46-year-old was the head coach of the India A and Under-19 teams before being handed the NCA role, which includes monitoring the progress of these two sides as well.

SL replace Zimbabwe for T20 series in January
The BCCI today named Sri Lanka as Zimbabwe’s replacement for a three-match T20 International series to be held in January next year. The series against Zimbabwe was in doubt after the ICC had suspended Zimbabwe Cricket in July over government interference in its administration.

Mongia demands payment for services as BCA mentor
Former India wicketkeeper Nayan Mongia today demanded remuneration from the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) for the services he had rendered as the mentor of its junior teams. Holding a press conference here, Mongia said he took up the assignment at the request of outgoing BCA president Pranav Amin, former national selector Kiran More and Rakesh Patel. “As a professional, it is my right to demand payment for rendering my services,” Mongia said.
