Olympics berths up for grabs in 2nd Indian GP

New Delhi: With less than four months to go for the Rio Games, a slew of current stars, former champions and upcoming athletes will go all out to clinch the Olympics quota places at the second Indian Grand Prix at NIS Patiala tomorrow. Dutee Chand, who created a national record in the women's 100m at the Federation Cup in New Delhi but missed the Olympics qualification mark by hundredth of a second, will be the favourite to make the cut. Rajiv Arokia, who smashed the national record in the men's 400m event, and Anilda Thomas, who took the gold medal in the women's 400m event, will also be watched keenly.

Last chance for wrestlers

New Delhi: The Indian wrestlers will look to secure as many Olympics quota places as possible at the 2nd World Qualifying tournament starting in Instanbul on Friday. As it is the last qualifier, the wrestlers will be under a lot of pressure to put in their best.
