India, Pakistan and Iran (men and women) entered the semifinals of the fifth World Cup Kabaddi at the Multipurpose Sports Stadium at Jalalabad in Fazilka.
The Indian men defeated Australia 45-23 while women defeated Azerbaijan 47-16. The Pakistan men also registered a big win against Sweden (50-21). In another match, Canada humbled Denmark 47-14 and USA defeated Spain 35-25. New Zealand’s women defeated Mexico 51-23.
Indian and Pakistan men’s teams scored four consecutive wins while the Indian and New Zealand women scored hat-tricks.
