Vidarbha ride on Fazal ton

Nagpur: Faiz Fazal led the way with a century as Vidarbha posted 284/6 against Haryana here today. Fazal struck 126, hitting 15 boundaries and a six.

Harshal Patel (2/41) and Jayant Yadav (2/97) were the successful wicket-takers for Haryana.

J&K in trouble

Jammu: Pacer Saurya Sanandiya picked up a five-wicket haul as Saurashtra dismissed Jammu and Kashmir for a paltry 138 and responded with 150/2 on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy match here today. Sanandiya wreaked havoc on the J&K batsmen, dismissing SP Khajuria (8), Ummar Nissar (0) and Pranav Gupta (8), skipper Parvez Rasool (21) and lower-order batsman Asif Khan (0).

Saurashtra openers Avi Barot (36) and Sagar Jogiyani (41) produced a 84-run first-wicket partnership to give the visitors a good platform.

HP take first-innings lead

Mallapuram: Himachal Pradesh were all out for 163 after bundling out hosts Kerala for 103 here today. Opting to bat, Kerala got off to a disastrous start and kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
