Meghalaya outfit Shillong Lajong FC held their nerves to down East Bengal 4-3 on aggregate in extra-time and enter the Federation Cup semifinals here today.
Trailing 1-2 after the first leg, East Bengal brought their campaign back on track with a 2-1 scoreline in regulation time as the match went into extra-time 3-3 on aggregate. Brazilian Ulliams Bomfin Souza struck the decisive goal in the 114th minute.
Sporting beat Mumbai FC
Margao: Sporting Clube de Goa defeated Mumbai FC 1-0 in the second leg to enter the semifinals. The Goan club had beaten Mumbai 1-0 in the first leg.
The all-important goal was scored by defender Subhasish Bose in the 46th minute from a penalty.
Sporting Clube de Goa will meet Aizawl FC in the first semifinal on May 7. — PTI
