Medium pacer Shrikant Mundhe picked up four wickets to help Maharashtra bowl out Haryana for 176 runs in their second innings, leaving the match evenly poised going into the fourth and final day's play. At stumps, Maharsthra were nine for no loss in the pursuit of 208 runs. The visitors still require 199 runs with all wickets intact.

Punjab nose ahead
Nagpur: Sandeep Sharma claimed three wickets in four balls as Punjab took a 37-run first innings lead against Vidarbha and then consolidated it by ending Day Three at 211/6 . Vidarbha started the day at 149/6 but they failed to overhaul Punjab’s total of 195.
 
In another match, J&K, who beat Mumbai in the first match, lost to Tamil Nadu by 277 runs.
