Garba - Nagada Sang Dhol Baje: Although the movie Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram Leela had numerous Garba numbers, the one that stood out was Nagada Sang Dhol Baje which had Deepika Padukone dancing flawlessly. The song is mixed and mastered by Tanay Gajjar and choreographed by Samir & Arsh Tanna.

Mujra, zara hatke 

Kathak - Maar Dala: Being one of the evergreen songs, like literally ‘green’, this song choreographed by the National award winner Saroj Khan, puts Madhuri Dixit where she belongs. Right on the top and as a dancer. Kathak hadn’t looked this convincing onscreen, until this song from Devdas happened.

Show me your moves 

Hip Hop - Bezubaan Phir Se – No Bollywood song has the number of hip hop moves that this song has. Almost every step is unique and different from the other in this song from the film ABCD 2. Choreographed by Prabhudeva and his students, the moves changed the entire hip hop scene for the industry.

Belly Dancing - Mayya Mayya: Mallika Sherawat had reached the peak of her career when she performed Bollywood style belly dancing in A R Rahman’s song Mayya from Guru. The song was sung by Egyptian singer Maryem Toller who was trained to sing in Hindi. Mallika looked smashing in the song.

Did you know about Rouff? 

Rouff  - Bhumro Bhumro: In this iconic number, both Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan looked convincing as Kashmiris doing their folk stage act. Saroj Khan’s choreography for Bhumro Bhumro from the movie Mission Kashmir had influences from the Kashmiri dance form Rouff which is usually performed by a group of woman.

Bhangra - Nagada Baja: The song itself remains one of the best original Punjabi songs to ever happen to Bollywood. This song choreographed by Bosco & Ceaser for Jab We Met had Shahid putting his best foot forward along with Kareena. Both looked convincing as Punjabis.
