Comforts for Wounded Soldiers.

WE are informed by Lieutenant-Colonel D.W. Sutherland, Principal Medical College, Lahore, that Lala Julli Ram, contractor, Lahore City, has generously placed at the disposal of the Mayo Hospital authorities the sum of Rs 400 for providing comforts for the sick and wounded Indian soldiers from overseas in the way of ice, aerated waters, fruits, sweets. Lala Julli Ram has set a noble example which deserves in this hot and sultry weather. The sick and wounded soldiers who have nobly fought for their King and country are the guests of the city, and it is the duty of all patriotic citizens to see that they are not stinted of any comforts, which are so much more necessary in the case of convalescents.
