Compulsory Education in Bhopal.

IT is gratifying to learn that the enlightened ruler of Bhopal is going to introduce compulsory free education very soon for her people. This fact was announced on Friday in a reply given by Her Highness the Begum to the address presented by her people on the occasion of her birthday celebration and the anniversary of her 18th year of accession to the throne. No details of this scheme are known but it is clear that Her Highness is very enthusiastic about it and, like a true and gifted ruler, recognises the value of compulsory education to raise the country to the distinguished rank of other progressive States. We are sure that costly though the scheme is, it will be adopted with courage and determination, in view of the immeasurable future benefits.
