Indian Athletics.

ONE of the most readable articles in the February number of the Modern Review is entitled: "The place of Indians in the World's Athletics." It is illustrated and contains the portraits of several celebrated wrestlers of India and Europe. It is pointed out that one of the Indian wrestlers, not the very best man of India, defeated several European champions in public and private contests. The Indian art of physical exercise is undoubtedly superior to any known and it is a pity that nowadays no annual tournaments of Indian wrestlers are held so as to encourage further development of the art.
