Lahore City''s Welcome to the Viceroy.

THE approaching visit of His Excellency the Viceroy to Lahore will be a memorable one. Apart from the fact that His Excellency's visit will be associated for all time with the provision of vast buildings and increased facilities for medical aid to men and animals in the opening of King Edward Memorial College and Hospital, a special significance attaches to His Excellency's visit. It is seldom that a provincial capital can have the privilege of a second visit from from the august head of the Government of India, and we naturally take it as an indication of His Excellency's deep and abiding interest in this province. It is necessary that the welcome accorded to His Excellency on behalf of the citizens should be one fully in keeping with the character of the occasion and of the sentiments of deep esteem and affection which the people of the Punjab justly entertain for His Excellency, who during his five year's regime has won an abiding place in their hearts.
