Progress of education in India 1913-14

The Education Department of the Government should be congratulated on the issue of the annual narrative of educational progress in the country. The quinquennial review is of great value, but it is published only once in five years and does not supply the growing demand for information. For this reason we welcome the appearance of the annual narrative. Government themselves recognize that the increased interest and the more prominent place which education is rapidly assuming are "sufficient excuse" for that innovation.
