It is not only regarding the over-crowding of passengers that is allowed railway trains in India that the public very frequently complain without benefit, but regarding the uncivil and often harsh treatment given by certain railway servants. A correspondent writing to the Bombay Chronicle gives details of the rude behaviour of a railway servant of the G.I.P. Company in Bombay in having ordered a passenger to get out of a compartment without providing him a seat elsewhere. This sort of thing probably happens in many Stations and railway servants often act in a manner which shows that they have really no regard for the feelings of those who pay to maintain the railways.
