The Bright Side of War.

The destructive side of war is, unfortunately, only too obvious, in its effects on life, on wealth on industry, on art, and even on morals. But there is another and less ugly side, an actually beneficent aspect. In the midst of this horrible upheaval, beneath all the ugliness and the horror, this beneficent work may be seen in progress. This is not the place to speak of the moral effects of war, either as a builder up or as a destroyer; but there are many material aspects of the healing process which give us hope for a great cleansing and uprising after the conflict is over.
