The forthcoming wheat conference

It is needless to mention that from an Indian point of view the first wheat Conference at Delhi was not quite satisfactory. There was no Indian representative on it, nor a representative of the internal trade of the country. The refusal of the Government to publish the proceedings did not serve to enhance public confidence in the wheat position. However, it is hoped that the forthcoming conference would be managed better, and in such a manner as to win the confidence of the public. The question of wheat prices is largely, if not entirely, one of confidence as to the sufficiency of the stock.
