Tirhut and Japan Buttons.

IN most articles formerly imported from many countries Japan has found an excellent footing in India. Hosiery, toys, glassware, brushes, matches, vinegar are some of the articles being promptly supplied by Japan at prices that suit Indian pockets. But it is being felt that some of these articles are manufactured in India and that therefore Japan is competing unfairly in our own markets. Among the articles injured by imports are the buttons manufactured by the Tirhut Moon Button Manufacturing Co. in the Champaran District. Their buttons are, indeed, very fine ones, and reflect credit on Indian enterprise.
