Two Seats of Extremists in India.

SIR William Wedderburn, writing to the "New Statesman," points out that there are two sets of extremists in India who are opposed to a policy of sympathy and enlightenment.

SIR William Wedderburn, writing to the "New Statesman," points out that there are two sets of extremists in India who are opposed to a policy of sympathy and enlightenment. These are the Indian extremists who are opposed to reforms which may tend to strengthen the British connection and the British extremists in India who are opposed to Indian aspirations seeking to keep India as a happy hunting ground for official monopoly and commercial exploitation. We doubt if the former exist in India in any considerable number at present and their motive is beyond one's comprehension. As for the second set, they are powerful and their motive is one of personal or class selfishness.
