Women and Industries

In  the industrial revival of India what place should be assigned to women is a question that requires special attention. A large number of Indian women are engaged in factories, but the conditions under which they work are not favourable to them. One would prefer these women to work in their own homes, or if they were to join a factory, the work assigned to them should be more suitable to them. Special schools for the industrial education of women would be very valuable to those who have no male relatives to support them. The necessity for organising schools and workshops for the women of India will become a pressing one very shortly. There are thousands of widows and others among poor and middle class families who would be glad to work in a factory exclusively designed to employ female labour.
