He calls himself a technology loyalist. Karan Kundra, actor, TV host, knows so much about gadgets and upcoming technology that he might as well host a show on the subject. Done with the shooting of Roadies, Karan is now busy promoting his two upcoming films, Dilphire and Rum Pum Posshh. Next, he is all geared up to launch a line of leather clothes and accessories.

“I am a biker at heart and the collection will have to do a lot with what bikers love to wear: be it jackets or wallets.” It won’t be an out-and-out commercial venture. I plan to contribute towards charity through it. Excerpts from an interview:

Your latest indulgence in gadgets: I am a technology loyalist, and I swear by iPhones. My latest indulgence is iPhone 6. Also I have bought a dashcam to enhance my travelling experience. It is equipped with six days of recording space.

What’s playing on your phone: For the last one month, I am tuned into Judai track from the film, Badlapur. It’s a soft number with soulful music.

An app that you follow all the time: Tapiture is my favourite these days. It is programmed to understand your interests and then provides you with information, gathered from around the world, about those subjects.

The first gadget you bought: My first gadget, like probably everyone else’s was a desktop, which I bought in 1992. It was a Larsen and Tubro system with a dot matrix printer. My first video game was a Nintendo Gameboy. It was on everyone’s wish list when it came into the market almost three decades back.

A gadget you think is overrated: People list Apple watch as an overrated gadget, but Apple has revolutionised technology in the past and I am sure the watch will be as useful as other products from the house of Apple.

An innovation par excellence: Softcard technology will make shopping so easy. It is a technology definitely ahead of its time, wherein one can use phone as a credit card and make payments. It syncs your phone with your bank accounts.

Your dream gadget: I would love to buy a Cat S50, a Caterpillar phone, also the strongest, sturdiest phone in the world.

How often you post pictures on Instagram: I am regular on Instagram and an average for putting picture on it comes out to be one in three days.

Your favourite social media site: I visit Facebook regularly. It is my personal space, which I share with my childhood friends.
