15 disabled to visit Kedarnath

DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat will flag off a fleet of 15 disabled persons for Kedarnath shrine in a function slated to take place at Bijapur guest house on April 22.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat will flag off a fleet of 15 disabled persons for Kedarnath shrine in a function slated to take place at Bijapur guest house on April 22. It is worth mentioning that Kedarnath shrine will reopen on April 24.

The disabled persons will cover a distance of 21 km from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. Out of 15 disabled persons, two physically challenged persons faced the brunt of Kedarnath disaster in 2013.

VK Nautiyal of Nautiyal Prosthetic Rehabilitation Centre said that this expedition will help physically challenged persons to boost their confidence.

He said that physically challenged persons can do well in every field if given proper training and support.
