Uttarakhand will be getting new NCC units for Chamoli and Uttarakashi districts.
NCC Additional Director General Maj General C Mani, who was in Nainital district, said the new NCC units for Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts had been sanctioned.
Attending a NCC programme in Nainital, Maj Gen Mani also called upon the NCC cadets to take part in the cleanliness campaign held from time to time. He also asked them to fight against social evils.
He apprised that there were a total of 18 NCC units in Uttarakhand and 30,444 students were in these units. He hoped that representation from hills in the NCC would increase in the days to come.
