Dehradun, July 19

A total of six deaths have occurred due to the H1N1 virus so far this year in Dehradun. Out of the six deaths, two patients died yesterday, the district authorities said today.

“The swine flu cases have started pouring in early as compared to last year because of the change in the day and night temperatures,” said CMO Tara Chand Pant.

The rainy season is in full swing, but so far no dengue cases have been reported. The state Health Department has already issued guidelines on risk categorisation, clinical management, home care, vaccinations and use of masks.
