25 Pithoragarh villages to be electrified: Secy

Dehradun, July 18

The electrification of villages in the state will be done latest by October.

Informing this here today, Secretary in-charge Radhika Jha said cent percent electrification of villages in the state was being undertaken as part of Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana. 

She said as part of the process, 25 villages in Pithoragarh were being electrified.

Radhika Jha further held that the Uttarakhand Power Corporation had been directed to speedily undertake electrification work at villages in Tehri and Uttarkashi districts. She said the process of land acquisition linked to conduct of electrification in these villages must also be taken up on priority. — TNS
