Around 650 students were imparted vedic and moral teaching at a discourse by spiritual ideologue Dr Pranav Pandya and Shail Jiji. The discourse was part of the 29th Gyan Deeksha function of Dev Sanskriti University that concluded here today.
Twenty students from Russia, Italy, Latvia, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan also listened to the spiritual discourse. Translated versions in their languages was provided to them.
Pandya, while addressing the students, said being career-oriented was essential but it was also important to make contribution to society after completing studies. He gave examples of Swami Vivekanand, Mahatma Gandhi, Nachiketa and Shri Ram Sharma in this regard.
“Adhering to moral values, ethics, principles, respecting elders, parents, teachers and helping one another in studies are traits of an ideal pupil or student. Dev Sanskriti University aims at imparting education as well as moral knowledge. Every year, hundreds of students pass out from the university. We are confident that they will achieve success in varied fields,” said Dr Pandya.
C Rajshekhar, Director, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), urged students to utilise time for a better future. “A disciplined schedule is vital in a student’s life. Focus on your studies, areas of interest and future career. Today, varied technology advancement has taken place which students should utilise for enhancement of knowledge and career,” said Rajshekhar.
Vice Chancellor Sharad Paridhi said Dev Sanskriti University and Gayatri Vidyapeeth had emerged as one of top educational institutes in the country.
