Chief Minister TS Rawat was today given a feedback on the work being carried out by his government by party workers at a ‘Janata Darbar’ held today at the BJP office here.

Though, the second Janata Darbar was no different from the first held in the first week of May at the same venue. Workers came with problems of road, water and lack of other civic amenities, but the Chief Minister maintained that he had also received feedback on the work being done by his government so far.

“We managed to hold discussions on the work being carried out by us, there were several suggestions for improving the working of the administration and implementation  of the schemes,” Rawat told reporters.

Besides, the problems of garbage not being lifted and lack of power supply, several party workers complained about lack of money at ATMs in the state.

The issue was also taken up by workers who hailed from other districts, as they demanded that ATMs be set up on the Char Dham route.

The issue of fleecing of pilgrims by chopper companies who were charging exorbitant rates for their flight services to Kedarnath too was raised during the interaction with mediapersons. “I have asked the District Magistrate to take action against the companies and state government officials to keep a check on the companies,” said Rawat.—TNS
