Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Ganga Rejuvenation Uma Bharti for approving 20 proposals worth Rs 877 crore under the Namami Ganga project for Uttarakhand recently.
The Chief Minister said effective steps would be taken to maintain cleanliness in the Ganga as it has cultural and spiritual significance and also a large population depends on it. The Uttarakhand government was committed to completing all works approved under Namami Ganga qualitatively and a in time bound manner, he added.
