DEHRADUN: Cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj and Madan Kaushik are keenly eyeing the Bijapur guesthouse on new Cantt Road, once the residence of former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna.

Cabinet ministers Satpal Maharaj and Madan Kaushik are keenly eyeing the Bijapur guesthouse on new Cantt Road, once the residence of former Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna.

The matter has been left to Chief Minister Trivender Singh Rawat to decide after his return from New Delhi. It has been learnt that the house has been allotted to Madan Kaushik officially, but as the Chief Minister had to rush to New Delhi, the formalities remain incomplete. In the meantime, Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj also made a request for the same house.

Cabinet minister Arvind Pandey has moved into R-8 house, earlier in the possession of former Health Minster Surinder Singh Negi.

Cabinet minister Subodh Uniyal has been allotted the house number R-3, earlier in possession of Home Affairs Minister Pritam Singh. The Minister for State, Rekha Arya, has been allotted house number A-1. While the Minister for State Dhan Singh Rawat is awaiting the allotment of the house presently occupied by Indira Hridayesh on the new Cantt road. She has so far not vacated the house. Meanwhile, Trivender Singh Rawat is set to occupy the Chief Minister’s residence on new Cantt road.
