The Shashpur police on Sunday registered a case of abduction of a girl in Dehradun. According to information, a student of Class-X went missing from Dharmawala on June 9. The parents of the girl filed a police complaint alleging that Vikas, a resident of Badshahibagh in Saharanpur, had abducted her when she had gone to market. Train looting case
The Railway Police Force on Sunday registered a case of looting in the Doon-Howrah express. A gang of 10 to 12 miscreants looted passengers in the sleeper class after pulling the chain of the train between Athal and Laksar. They looted jewellery from women passengers. They were carrying weapons and fled after committing the crime. A case has been registered. — TNS
Woman commits suicide
A married woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her home in Dehradun on Sunday. Her relatives went into her room when she did not come out in the morning. They saw her hanging from the ceiling fan. They called the police. The deceased has been identified as Neelam (30), a resident of village Nathanpur in Dehradun. The police have sent the body for a post mortem. — TNS
