Three members of a gang of poachers, suspected to be involved in anti-wildlife activities
in the Corbett region, were arrested here today.
In a joint operation, the trio was arrested by the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and the Bijnor police (Uttar Pradesh) from Bijnor, which falls in close proximity to Corbett. A total of 12 kg of tiger bones were also seized from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Pappu Gujjar, Akhtar and Mohammed Alam, all residents of Badhapur.
