PC Tiwari, state president of the Uttarakhand Parivartan Party (UPP), lambasted the Congress-led state government for stopping unemployment allowance for youths of the state. He said the government had completely failed to address the issues of people.
Tiwari, while addressing mediapersons here, said the state government had taken no potent measures to keep a check on the land, liquor and mining mafia in the state.
“Legislators of the Congress and the BJP are responsible for the political turmoil experienced in Uttarakhand,” he said.
He said party activists would hold a series of rallies to sensitise people about the failure of the government. He lamented that basic amenities such as road, potable water, health and school education were in a poor state in the higher areas of the state. Voters would look for the third option in the next Assembly elections slated to take place in January 2017. The government should declare Gairsain as the permanent capital of Uttarakhand, he demanded. Bhargya Chandola, Jagdish Rawat, Suresh Belwal and Gyanveer Tyagi were present.
