Haridwar, November 12
Over 2,000 BJP activists from Haridwar city Assembly segment will take part in the ‘Parivartan rally’ to be addressed by BJP national president Amit Shah at Bannu Intermediate College tomorrow.
District BJP president Suresh Rathore, while addressing mediapersons at the party’s city office in Devpura, said workers were quite enthusiastic over the event.
“It will be a record breaking rally as post surgical strikes on Pakistan-based terror launch pads and the recent historic decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes, the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has increased manifold,” he said.
Vikas Tiwari, in charge of city Assembly affairs and vice-president of the district unit, said more than 40 buses, carrying party workers to participate in the rally, would be flagged off by city legislator Madan Kaushik from Rishikul ground for Dehradun. Party office-bearers Kamani Sadana, Nitin Jolly, Sudhanshu Pundit among others were present on the occasion.
