The Sanjhi Chhat Vikas Samiti today awarded various Punjabi personalities with the Punjabi Ratan award for their contributions to different spheres of life.
Chief Minister Harish Rawat, addressing the gathering at the function held in Dehradun today, lauded the role of the Punjabi community in the development of Uttarakhand. He said people belonging to different castes and religions lived with peace and tranquility in Uttarakhand and every class and community was playing an important role in its development.
Harbhajan Singh Anand, Jasbir Singh, Baba Fateh Singh, Ram Sharma, Ramanjeet Kaur, Narendra Singh Sethi, Dr BS Judge, Amarjeet Singh, Preet Grover and LD Bhatia were honoured.
Rajpur MLA Rajkumar also appreciated the Sanjhi Chhat Vikas Samiti for honouring Punjabi personalities who had excelled in various spheres of life. President of the anjhi Chhat Vikas Samiti Asha Manorama Dobriyal Sharma conducted the proceedings.
