Chief Minister Harish Rawat today reviewed the working of all departments at Mela Bhawan where he cautioned officials against any laxity or delay in working.

Chief Minister Harish Rawat today reviewed the working of all departments at Mela Bhawan where he cautioned officials against any laxity or delay in working.

He directed the District Magistrate to ensure all government offices were opened on time and all facilities provided. Harish Rawat said the administrative machinery should be ready to ensure that facilities reached people in far-flung and remote areas too.

On the poor condition of roads in the city, Harish Rawat made it clear that in the coming days when monsoon arrives and the Kanwar season begins, if roads get damaged due to water flow from nearby nullahs and drains, then executive engineer would be held responsible.

District Food Supplies Officer Rahul Sharma was asked to organise camps for ration cards and lauded completion of digitisation in the district.

DM Harbans Singh Chugh was asked to send a proposal to the Forest Department and the Rajaji Tiger Reserve authority to allow opening of hill bypass route on weekends and important festive bathes, particularly during the upcoming Kanwar fair to ensure smooth movement of traffic during this season.

Harish Rawat also reviewed working of the Payjal Nigam, Jal Sansthan, Power Corporation, Health, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Horticulture, Fishery, Social Welfare, Education and other departments during the meeting.

During the meeting, Bhagwanpur legislator Mamta Rakesh, ex-legislator Ambrish Kumar, zila panchayat vice-chairperson Rao Affaq Ali, ex-municipal councillor Satpal Brahamchari, Sanitation employees commission chairperson Kiran Pal Valmiki, DM HS Chugh, SSP Rajeev Swarup, CDO Sonika, CMO BS Jangpangi, ADM Jeevan Singh Nangiyal, ADM Finance Abhishek Tripathi, Joint Magistrate Mayur Dixit, DFO HK Singh and other department officials were present.
