Havildar Bisht succumbs to injuries

DEHRADUN: Havildar Narendra Singh Bisht of 4th Garhwal Rifles, who was injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on August 7, succumbed to injuries at Military Hospital in Jammu today.

Dehradun, August 16

Havildar Narendra Singh Bisht of 4th Garhwal Rifles, who was injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan Army in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on August 7, succumbed to injuries at Military Hospital in Jammu today. He belonged to Narayanbagad in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The martyr’s mortal remains are expected to arrive at his residence in Selaqui, Dehradun, today.

CM Trivendra Singh Rawat and Finance Minister Prakash Pant have expressed grief over the demise of Havildar Narendra Singh Bisht and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.

Havildar Narendra Bisht’s martyrdom comes days after Major Kamlesh Pandey of Haldwani died fighting militants in Shopian region of Jammu and Kashmir. — TNS
