Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the late Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna was remembered by Congress men on his birth anniversary today.
In the programme, his son and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna and Congress state president Kishore Upadhyay paid floral tributes to the veteran leader.
Upadhyay said, “HN Bahuguna was a great leader. He is a source of inspiration for the politicians. He was a reformer and his contribution towards the development of Uttarakhand is unforgettable.”
The Uttarakhand Vikas Parishad also celebrated Bahuguna’s birth anniversary in its office. President of the parishad and Congress leader Surya Kant Dhasmana shared memorable moments of his life with the gathering.
Congress party workers garlanded HN Bahuguna’s statue at the MDDA Complex, Clock Tower. Subodh Uniyal, Saket Bahuguna, Jot Singh Bisht, Shankar Chan Ramola and Rajendra Shah were present.
