Mussoorie, September 2
The impact of the nationwide strike called by Left-supported trade unions against the Central government proposal to introduce labour reforms was also felt in Mussoorie today. Workers of hotels, schools, financial institutions, and the Telecom Department held a march from Landour Bazaar to Gandhi Chowk raising slogans against the anti-worker policies of the Central government.
Shops and hotels remained closed as all workers were taking part in the protest procession.
RP Badoni, leader of the Left-supported trade union in Mussoorie, said they would oppose tooth and nail the anti-worker policies of the Central government. Trade union leaders Sunil Kumar, Devi Godiyal, Sudhir Dobhal, Alam Kahn, and Pooran Singh participated in the protest. ITM workers also joined the protest.
