The Uttarakhand BJP has termed the Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as forward looking that will spur growth and provide long term benefits to people.

Senior BJP leader Trivender Singh Rawat today said the Budget had lived up to the expectations of the people and it would encourage growth in the country.

“The Finance Minister has tried to keep the interests of all sections of society in mind in the Budget. He has not unnecessarily tinkered with the income tax slabs and has tried to give relief to the working class,” said Rawat.

Ajay Bhatt, Leader of the Opposition in the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, praised Jaitley for presenting a market and people-friendly Budget.

“The Union Finance Minister has announced the setting up of an apprenticeship training centre for women in the state. It is a good move and is on the lines of the clean Ganga plan. It will boost skill levels and growth in the state,” said Bhatt.
