ROORKEE: Members of a panchayat at Roorkee in Uttarakhand on Wednesday paraded a man with garland of slippers for allegedly having an extra-marital affair.

Roorkee, April 27

Members of a panchayat at Roorkee in Uttarakhand on Wednesday paraded a man with garland of slippers for allegedly having an extra-marital affair.

A group of people allegedly blackened the man's face, garlanded him with slippers and shoes, and paraded him through the village.

A video of the man being taken around the village has been circulated in social media.

The incident was reported in Imarti village.

The police have registered a case.
